Upon your approval of the conceptual design, the mechanical engineering team will develop 3D CAD models. At various milestones during the design and at the conclusion of the CAD development phase, the 3D data can be used to create CNC machined models, Rapid Prototypes, production tooling and fixtures, and 2D engineering drawings for QA purposes. With software such as Solidworks and MasterCam the emphasis remains on designing for assembly and minimizing manufacturing costs.
